Hey Folks! The Fellows are getting back into the rhythms of life on campus, after about two months, and we had a lot of catching up to do. Thankfully, those two months were rather eventful, so catching up wouldn’t be hard to do!

As we settled back in to the familiar rhythm of life together, classes, and the sweet smell of pine trees, something we heard a lot is the phrase “welcome home!” Welcome home…. It’s a familiar phrase, and as it was lovingly tossed from Fellow to Fellow throughout the weeks, it pulled us back to remembering the first time all 63 of us stepped foot on campus to begin this journey together. The Lord has done so much through our class and shown us how to grow together as the body of Christ, turning this campus into home and the people on it into family.

At the beginning of first semester, however, it was strange to call this place home. For some of us, Pine Mountain was familiar stomping grounds, and for some of us, it was a world away from where we felt like we most belonged. But as we’ve so clearly seen through all of first semester and continuing on into Brazil—God is faithful. He is faithful in planting us in our original home with our original families and showing us how to grow there, and He is faithful in pushing us into something new. As a class, another thing we are learning is that the new is nothing to fear. In fact, the new is an opportunity to see God work in a way that maybe wouldn’t be seen if we were stationed in the same routine, day after day. On Move in Day in August, the new seemed scary. The Lord faithfully changed that perspective fo

r us. Now, as we say, “welcome home!”, it sweetly rings from wall to wall as the family of class thirteen joyfully reunites.

We know that this is where the Lord has called us to be for this precious bit of time we have here, and we’re excited to be doing life together. Praise the Lord for giving us a place to do life together, and turning this class into a family. The dust of first semester and Brazil is beginning to settle, and we’re able to look back and reflect while we also look forward to this whole semester ahead of us. The Lord is faithful to work through us, and we can’t wait to see it happen more and more.

So, in any new season, know that the Lord knows what He is doing and He holds you in His hands. Look up, the Lord is faithful always!

With hope & expectation,
