Last Friday, the ladies at IMPACT 360 split into two groups for a day of helping out the community. One group went to a Georgia Baptist Children’s Home and I went with the group who went to a women’s homeless shelter called the Emmaus house. We showed up at the house and were asked to sit in on a Bible study with some ladies. I greatly enjoyed it and loved having my heart in the right place before we started serving. We spent most of the time organizing the attic where there was a clothes closet.
We sorted through kids clothes and toys to make it inviting for ladies to come up there and shop for their kids. We were able to have a picnic lunch with some of the ladies which was very encouraging and I loved the conversations that took place. After lunch I asked if I could help organize their food pantry. I love cooking so having all their canned food items organized was an exciting thought. I spent about an hour and a half organizing all their canned food and I loved it so very much. We had an awesome time serving at the Emmaus house and were greatly encouraged as we served alongside each other as IMPACT sisters in Christ.
