Oí! This week my team, Legado, has arrived in Brasília, Brazil. After three planes, almost missing a flight, and being very tired, we made it. We traveled to Claretiano, which is where the whole Brazil team is staying for a few rest days and also getting to meet our partners, LifeShape Brazil. Additionally, we have gotten the opportunity to experience the culture by trying new foods, learning Portuguese words, and meeting new people.

At the beginning of this week, we were training for a summer camp, learning about LifeShape Brazil, and had a worship session. At the camp training and LifeShape introduction, we learned more about how LifeShape works, and they introduced us to the partners we would be working with during our time here in Brasília. During worship, we got to experience two languages coming together to glorify the Lord. It was incredible to see how God is working even among Christians in Brazil. It has opened my eyes to see that the body of believers goes beyond my local church.

We have gotten to fellowship with other Christians and be in a community even without understanding each other fully. Toward the end of the week, we got the wonderful experience to hike and see multiple waterfalls throughout the trail. We ended the day with some good food and needed rest. This Sunday, we attended a local church. It was another reminder of the Lord’s heart for the nations.

In closing, this week was both unforgettable and challenging. I made lasting friendships with brothers and sisters in Christ who have the same mission in mind as me. Although adjusting to a new schedule and place was difficult at first, I know God will do amazing things with both my team and LifeShape Brazil.

Please pray for God to prepare our hearts as we step into a new week of serving in Brasília.
