IMPACT 360 recently welcomed to its team a former intern at the gap year program, Karen Jordan. Jordan previously served with the Student Learning and Living team and has now assumed the role of Student Learning Coordinator. In this role, Jordan will help lead 31 students through IMPACT 360’s nine-month program of biblical worldview studies, community service, international missions, and servant leadership.
In addition to her familiarity with the program and its Pine Mountain, Ga. campus, Jordan believes she is also well equipped for her new role because of her experience serving with several organizations with whom IMPACT 360 partners.
“The Lord has given me the opportunity to spend some time both learning and serving alongside some wise people at several incredible ministries, such as Focus Leadership Institute, Summit Ministries, Graffiti Community Ministries, and Columbia International University,” Jordan said. “The Lord has used my time at each of these places to help shape, equip, and prepare me for the task in walking alongside students at IMPACT 360.”
Because of her time already spent on the IMPACT 360 campus, Jordan is an advocate of the program and its mission to produce Christ-focused servant leaders who will stand up and make a difference for Christ on their college campuses.
“I think that the training and equipping that takes place at IMPACT 360 helps prepare students to make the most of their time at a college or university,” Jordan shared. “It is encouraging to see alumni impacting their sphere of influence as they share about and live lives that reflect the Gospel.”
Jordan is a native of Winfield, Ala. She graduated from Auburn University in 2009 with a business management degree in human resources. After serving as an intern at IMPACT 360, Jordan moved to Columbia, S.C., where she worked in Residence Life at Columbia International University.
“We are proud and thrilled to welcome Karen back to IMPACT 360,” said Director John Basie. “She has been a great asset to our team, and I believe God has grown her even more in her time away so that she is well equipped to serve our students and the Lord. We look forward to another exciting and productive academic year with Karen on our team.”
IMPACT 360 is a nine-month program that challenges students to know what they believe and why, to understand God’s calling in their lives, and to develop and foster authentic Christian community. Since 2006, IMPACT 360 has commissioned more than 150 young adults who are motivated to not only affect their campuses with biblical truth, but to use their godly example to impact the rest of the world.
