I am only two weeks into Impact 360’s Fellows program, and an electrifying vision has been cast for this coming nine months. I have been stretched and encouraged in ways I never expected. I am already blessed with a rich community of believers who genuinely desire holiness.

Great thinkers like Dr. Jonathan Morrow and Brett Kunkle have poured into the class. Through Brett’s teaching, we have examined Greg Koukl’s book ‘Tactics’ and learned timeless truths, such as the difference between objective and subjective truths, an ever-important distinction in our present age. Under Dr. Morrow’s wisdom, we dove into the deep end of Os Guinness’ book ‘God in the Dark: The Assurance of Faith Beyond the Shadow of Doubt.’ In its pages, we devoted our minds to the study of the different types of doubts and the roots behind them.

Through all this growth, my energy levels have finally leveled out, and I am beginning to understand what daily life on campus will be like. I am truly thankful for the personable staff who have made us feel at home and given us great resources for handling this short nine months with wisdom and making the most of it.

Spending intentional time with the other Fellows has strengthened my desire to become more like Christ as a whole person through worshipping in study and song. We have learned to be faithful in our research and what it looks like to do this unto God. Many inspiring conversations have occurred that have been great causes for joy, hope, and curiosity. Through asking questions, we have learned not to give an opinion instantly but to become genuinely interested in what the person across from us is saying and seek to find truth in the community.

If you would like to support us in our quest to find truth and stability in a world that is in turmoil, please pray along with us through Thomas Aquinas’ student prayer:

“Creator of all things, trustworthy source of light and wisdom, origin of all being, graciously let a ray of your light penetrate the darkness of my understanding.

Take from me the double darkness in which I have been born, an obscurity of sin and ignorance.

Give me a keen understanding, a retentive memory, and the ability to grasp things correctly and fundamentally.

Grant me the talent of being exact in my explanations and the ability to express myself with thoroughness and charm.

Point out the beginning, direct the progress, and help in the completion.  I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.”

Grace and peace to you in abundance,
