Those are the important questions we are going to be talking about today in this podcast with Scott McDaniel, Vice President of the Creative Team at Sony Music Nashville. McDaniel oversees artist imaging, album packaging, photography, design and video production for the label group’s recording imprints: Arista, Columbia and RCA Records. Working with artists such as Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. McDaniel joined Sony in 2008 with over 15 years experience in creating visual art within the music industry. His experience includes art director and producer credits for live concert performance music films, feature length film and music videos. Additionally, he has commissioned over 400 music videos to directors between Country, Rock, Gospel and Christian formats.
McDaniel previously served in artist development with EMI Christian Music Label and oversaw the creative services department at ForeFront Records working with artists such as Tobymac, Stacie Orrico and dc Talk.
